Indiana Fever's Damiris Dantas out for the season with torn meniscus

Indiana Fever center Damiris Dantas will miss the rest of the WNBA season after undergoing surgery for a torn meniscus. Dantas, who averaged 3.3 points and 1.5 rebounds in 12 games this season, had been part of the Fever's backup rotation. With her absence, the Fever will rely more heavily on Makayla Timpson and continue to utilize Aliyah Boston, who’s been a standout performer. Indiana may look to sign another center to address the depth issue in the frontcourt. They are currently 19-11 and are set to face the Las Vegas Aces on August 6.
