Indiana Pacers face draft challenges after lottery loss

The Indiana Pacers will not have a pick in the upcoming 2026 NBA Draft after losing their first-round selection in the draft lottery earlier this month. As a result, the Pacers join the Portland Trail Blazers as the only teams without a choice in this draft. President of Basketball Operations Kevin Pritchard highlighted that the team has five first-round picks over the next six years but currently cannot trade their 2027 pick until after the 2026 draft concludes on June 24. Once the draft is complete, the Pacers can explore trades for their future draft picks, including selections in 2028, 2030, 2031, and 2033.
