Indiana prepares to face former quarterback Tayven Jackson and North Texas

Indiana football faces North Texas this week with former Hoosiers quarterback Tayven Jackson set to lead the opposing offense. Jackson, a Center Grove alumnus, appeared in 27 career games over four seasons and previously made six starts for Indiana. North Texas head coach Neal Bown chose the experienced transfer to replace former quarterback Drew Mestemaker, who transferred to Oklahoma State. Indiana coach Curt Cignetti acknowledged Jackson’s athleticism and arm strength while preparing his staff for the matchup against a North Texas roster featuring over 50 transfers. Jackson previously played for UCF, where he started 10 games last season. The upcoming contest marks a return to Bloomington for the quarterback as he leads the Mean Green.
