Indianapolis Colts sign Luke Tenuta to practice squad after roster release

The Indianapolis Colts signed offensive tackle Luke Tenuta to the practice squad on Monday evening. This move occurred shortly after the team released Tenuta on Monday afternoon to clear a roster spot for defensive back Kapena Gushiken, who was acquired via waivers. Tenuta originally earned a place on the team's initial 53-man roster Sunday. The Colts currently carry eight offensive linemen on the active roster, leaving depth thin at the position heading into the start of the season. Coaches may look to Tenuta as a candidate for elevation from the practice squad if further injuries or roster adjustments occur at the tackle position. Practice squad players are eligible for up to three game-day elevations during the regular season.
