USA Track & Field will hold its national indoor championships at the Fall Creek Pavilion on the Indiana State Fairgrounds in February 2027 and February 2028. This selection marks the first time Indianapolis has served as the host site for the indoor national meet since its inception in 1906. The events are part of a broader push by the Indiana Sports Corp. to establish the city as a primary hub for Olympic-related competitions leading up to the 2028 Los Angeles Games. Indianapolis also remains slated to host the USA Swimming national championships in 2027 and the Olympic Trials in 2028. USATF CEO Max Siegel noted that the organization is exploring potential long-term plans to bring outdoor national events back to the city as well. Local officials have invested $50 million into the Fall Creek Pavilion to support high-level multi-use athletic events.
