India's white-ball tour of Bangladesh faces clearance delays

Summary

India's planned white-ball tour to Bangladesh, initially set for August 2025, has been postponed to September 2026 due to political tensions. Talks between both governments are positive, aiming to ensure the series proceeds, contingent on higher-level decisions. Former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's recent press conference has stirred diplomatic concerns, but sources suggest that it will not significantly affect the cricket series. BCB president Tamim Iqbal is actively advocating for the tour to take place amid ongoing discussions with BCCI.
