Indoor golf simulator businesses grow in the Coachella Valley

Golf simulator facilities are increasing in the Coachella Valley as players look for alternatives to outdoor courses during extreme summer heat. Businesses such as Golf Social LQ and Back Nine Golf have opened recently, offering air-conditioned settings where players use sensors to track shots on digital representations of famous courses. According to the National Golf Federation, the number of indoor simulator businesses in the United States grew from approximately 570 in 2022 to 1,500 by 2025. While outdoor course growth in the region has remained stagnant, three new indoor simulator venues opened in the valley over an eight-month period. These facilities allow members to play simulated rounds without the time requirements or weather limitations associated with traditional outdoor golf.
