Inland Lakes misses playoffs; Pickford hosts Mio in regional semifinal

In the MHSAA 8-Player Division 1 playoffs, Inland Lakes Football finished its season at 5-4 and did not qualify for the postseason, marking its first absence since 2019. The Bulldogs lost their final game against Gaylord St. Mary 54-6 on October 23. Conversely, the Pickford Panthers will host Mio in a regional semifinal at 7 p.m. on October 30. Pickford enters the playoffs with a 7-2 record and aims for its fourth consecutive postseason appearance. The winner of this matchup will face either Rudyard or Ishpeming, both of whom are also competing in the semifinals on the same day.
