Insider proposes three-team trade structure for Lakers to acquire P.J. Washington

NBA insider Jake Weinbach has proposed a three-team trade framework to facilitate the Los Angeles Lakers' acquisition of Dallas Mavericks forward P.J. Washington. The potential deal involves the Chicago Bulls acting as a third party to accommodate cap space requirements. Under the framework, the Lakers would receive Washington, while the Mavericks would obtain Jaden Hardy, Adou Thiero, and draft capital swaps. The Chicago Bulls would acquire Jake LaRavia to assist in the exchange. This proposal emerges after the Los Angeles Lakers failed to sign Jonathan Kuminga, who joined the Minnesota Timberwolves. While the Dallas Mavericks are rebuilding, they have not publicly committed to trading Washington.
