Inter Milan negotiations for Cristian Romero stall amid Spanish interest

Summary

Inter Milan's attempts to sign Cristian Romero have stalled due to unresolved personal terms with the defender's representatives. While a transfer fee of €40 million has been agreed with Tottenham, personal demands remain a significant obstacle. Consequently, Romero's camp is considering interest from La Liga clubs, including Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid, although no formal talks have taken place with those teams. Inter remains focused on strengthening its defense and hopes to eventually partner Romero with recent signing John Stones. Tottenham appears prepared for a potential departure of the World Cup winner, as head coach Roberto De Zerbi acknowledges players seeking new challenges.
