Iowa and New Jersey face weather delay at Little League World Series

The Little League World Series game between Davenport Northwest (Iowa) and Bayonne (New Jersey) is currently paused due to lightning. The game, taking place at Lamade Stadium in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, had Iowa leading 2-0 in the top of the third inning at the moment of the delay. Players from both teams were evacuated from the field as a safety precaution. Grounds crew members are preparing to cover the field with a tarp while waiting for conditions to improve.
