Iowa basketball showcases new court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena

Iowa basketball shared a first look at the installation of a new playing surface in Carver-Hawkeye Arena on June 5, 2026. The new maple wood court will replace the aging parquet floor that has been in use since the arena opened in 1983. Iowa Athletics purchased the court previously used in the NCAA Tournament's South Region and aims to keep the overall look similar, incorporating new design elements. A significant feature, the "22" decal commemorating Caitlin Clark's record-setting 3-pointer, will be retained in its original location. The first official game on the new court is anticipated in early November as both men's and women's basketball seasons approach.
