Iowa enters top 25 of USA TODAY Sports 1-138 Re-Rank

Iowa moved into the top 25 of the USA TODAY Sports 1-138 Re-Rank following the conclusion of Week 1. The Hawkeyes climbed to No. 24 nationally after a 40-0 victory against Northern Illinois. Despite preseason polls placing the team outside the top 25, the dominant shutout performance secured their spot in the current rankings. The team continues to manage an unsettled situation at the quarterback position, though the rest of the roster performance satisfied evaluators during the opener. Paul Myerberg noted that the team could see further movement in the rankings as the quarterbacks gain experience within the system. Elsewhere in the Big Ten, Notre Dame and Ohio State retain the top two spots, while Oregon, Texas, and Indiana follow. USC, Penn State, and Washington also maintained positions within the top 25 rankings.
