Jevyn Severson, a four-star tight end from Iowa, named his top 16 schools on September 19, with Iowa football included. Severson is the top-ranked player in Iowa's 2028 class and ranks third nationally among tight ends. Last season, he recorded 25 receptions for 417 yards and three touchdowns. He was also recently in Iowa City for the Cy-Hawk game on September 12. Iowa currently has three commitments in its 2028 recruiting class, including quarterback Chase Grove and defensive back Dwayle Smith.
