Iowa football stars Trevor Lauck and Kade Pieper named to Lombardi Award watch list

Trevor Lauck and Kade Pieper of Iowa football have been named to the 2026 Lombardi Award watch list as they prepare for the upcoming season. Both players are recognized for their outstanding performances, having started all 13 games in the previous season. Pieper received first-team All-America honors, while Lauck was honored as a second-team preseason All-American. The Lombardi Award, highlighting excellence in character, discipline, and skill, will be presented in December. Iowa begins its season on September 5 against Northern Illinois.
