Iowa offers 2028 OL James Barnett from Iowa City West High School

James Barnett, an offensive lineman from Iowa City West High, received a scholarship offer from Iowa's football program in June. Barnett, the son of Iowa offensive line coach George Barnett, has also received interest from Miami (OH) and South Dakota. A multi-sport athlete, he was a starting center on an 8-3 football team and placed second in shot put at the 4A state track meet. Barnett will explore his options before making a decision on college.
