Iowa State's Tamin Lipsey granted eligibility to return to college basketball

Tamin Lipsey, a key player for Iowa State, has been granted eligibility to return to the college basketball program this winter. A judge ruled in favor of Lipsey and nearly 100 other athletes who questioned the NCAA's 'five to play five' rule impacting their eligibility. Previously, it was thought he had played his final game during the 2026 NCAA Tournament. Lipsey holds several records at Iowa State, including being the all-time leader in steals and starting 137 games. The NCAA is anticipated to appeal the ruling.
