Iowa women’s basketball becomes finalist for top 2027 recruit

Iowa women's basketball has made the final three for 2027 center Khalia Hartwell after she narrowed her options. The 6-foot-5 player from Westside High School in South Carolina, who was named South Carolina's Gatorade Player of the Year, averaged 12.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game last season. Hartwell is set to visit Iowa on September 11, following visits to Georgia on September 4 and Virginia Tech on September 18. If Iowa can secure her commitment, Hartwell would join combo guard Jada Seubert in their 2027 class.
