Iran leaves message for peace after World Cup draw with Belgium
Summary

Iran and Belgium played to a goalless draw in their second Group G match at the 2026 World Cup on June 22 at Los Angeles Stadium. Following the match, the Iranian team left a handwritten note in their dressing room addressing the importance of peace, respect, and friendship among nations. Iran's involvement in the tournament has been complicated by the ongoing war involving their country and the United States.
