Irankunda transfers from Watford to Sporting in Lisbon move

Watford striker Nestory Irankunda is transferring to Sporting in Lisbon after one season at Vicarage Road. The 20-year-old Australian, who joined Watford from Bayern Munich in July 2025, netted four goals in 44 appearances. The move is described as a permanent deal and is pending international clearance. Irankunda previously shined on the international stage, scoring five goals for the Socceroos, including becoming the youngest Australian scorer in World Cup history against Turkey.
