Iran's national team arrives in Tijuana amid U.S. tensions
Summary

Iran’s national soccer team landed in Tijuana early Sunday prior to competing in the World Cup in the United States. The arrival comes amid heightened political tensions following a war declaration between Iran and the U.S. The team's pre-tournament training occurred in Turkey, and they transferred their base camp from Arizona to Mexico due to visa uncertainties. They are set to play their first two Group G matches against New Zealand and Belgium near Los Angeles later this month, before facing Egypt in Seattle. Some team administration members reportedly did not receive necessary U.S. visas before the tournament.
