Irene Aldana and Victor Martinez cut from UFC roster

Irene Aldana, former UFC women’s bantamweight title contender, has been cut from the UFC after announcing her retirement from MMA. The announcement came on July 17, with Aldana ranked No. 12 in the Meta UFC Rankings prior to her release. Aldana, who had an MMA record of 15-8 and an 8-6 UFC record, has not fought since September 2024. Additionally, lightweight fighter Victor Martinez has also been released after losing all three of his UFC bouts. With new signings expected from Dana White’s Contender Series this summer, further cuts may follow.
