Isa Torres, the D1Softball National Player of the Year, has committed to the Texas Longhorns after transferring from Florida State. The shortstop had an outstanding career at FSU, setting multiple records including a.530 batting average during her junior year. Head coach Mike White looks to integrate Torres into the lineup as she competes for the shortstop position alongside Vivianna Martinez, following the departure of starting second baseman Leighann Goode. Torres, who grew up a Longhorns fan, brings one season of eligibility to Texas after a successful tenure at Florida State.
