Isaiah Thompson joins Notre Dame coaching staff as player development director

Isaiah Thompson, a former Purdue basketball player and graduate assistant, is set to join Notre Dame's coaching staff under Micah Shrewsberry. Shrewsberry, previously an assistant at Purdue during Thompson's tenure, will appoint him as director of player development and recruiting coordinator. Thompson, who spent two seasons at Purdue, averaged 4.6 points and was noted for his 39.1% shooting from three-point range. The move comes after Thompson's brother, P.J. Thompson, serves as associate head coach at Purdue. Additionally, Carson Barrett, Thompson's fellow graduate assistant last season, has accepted a role at Appalachian State.
