Isle of Man swimmers break national records at Commonwealth Games

Isle of Man athletes achieved notable success at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. The mixed 4x100m freestyle relay team set a new national record twice in one day, first in the heats and again in the final with a time of 3:38.65. Individual standout Alex Turnbull won his 50m breaststroke heat with a personal best. Other swimmers like Kiera Prentice and Lauren Dennett also showed strong performances. In gymnastics, Harry Eyres, called up from the reserve list, finished 16th in the all-around final. The Isle of Man's team competes across multiple sports throughout the Games.
