The Italian Football Federation has officially appointed Roberto Mancini as the new head coach of the national soccer team. This decision comes after Andrea Pirlo withdrew from consideration and resignations from Paolo Maldini and Leonardo. Mancini, who previously led Italy from 2018 to 2023, is tasked with guiding the team back to prominence following their Euro 2020 victory. Alongside Mancini, Claudio Ranieri will serve as the FIGC's technical director. The announcement was made during a federal council meeting.
