Itauma and Hrgovic to fight for vacant IBF heavyweight title

Moses Itauma's matchup against Filip Hrgovic on 29 August will be for the vacant IBF heavyweight title at London's O2 Arena. The title became available after Oleksandr Usyk vacated it in June. Itauma, 21, has gained attention with 12 knockouts in his 14 wins, while Hrgovic boasts 20 victories, including a recent stoppage of Dave Allen. Promoter Frank Warren expressed confidence in Itauma's potential to secure the championship, which could pave the way for a unification bout against WBO champion Daniel Dubois or Fabio Wardley. Frank Sanchez, initially in line for the title shot, has agreed to step aside and will face the winner of this bout next.
