IU Indy constructs new arena for basketball and volleyball teams

Indiana University Indianapolis is building the James T. Morris Arena, which will open this fall. The 130,000-square-foot venue will accommodate 4,200 fans and host the university's basketball and volleyball teams, aiming to enhance the school's profile in college sports. Athletic director Luke Bosso emphasized that the arena's design, featuring retractable seating and visibility, aims to support community events and athletic excellence. The facility will also include amenities like a weight room and training areas for student-athletes. As the construction progresses, the completion of the court and office spaces is still pending.
