WWE has unveiled the promotional image for the Money in the Bank event set for October 10 in New Orleans. The poster prominently features only one former World champion, IYO SKY, who holds two titles. Fans speculate on potential winners for the briefcases as wrestlers Cody Rhodes and Charlotte Flair are also anticipated to play key roles in the event. The promotion continues to highlight the opportunity for rising stars, such as Intercontinental champions Penta and Sol Ruca, and United States champ Trick Williams, to capture their first major championship through this match.

- 6:00 PMCageside Seats — There’s only one former World champion on the WWE Money in the Bank 2026 poster
"Perhaps because the first two briefcases led to Edge (now Adam Copeland*) and RVD winning their first WWE World titles, we wrestling fans often want the Money in the Bank winner to be a rising star who should be a main eventer. That “should be” is subjective, of course, and we wrestling fans get pretty attached to our opinions and our favorites. That leads to our sometimes getting emotionally invested in things like whether or not WWE chooses the same wrestler to win Money in the Bank that we would have if we were in charge of creative. WWE knows this. So even if Cody Rhodes and Charlotte Flair are booked to win this year’s oft-moved edition — it finally landed in New Orleans on Oct. 10 — they’re going to play into the idea that someone who’s never been a World champ before can, maybe even will, win a briefcase three months from now in the Big Easy. It did so on the first promotional image for the show to feature talent. Only one of them has been a World champ before. That’s IYO SKY though. Because of how great she is, SKY is seen as perpetually under-appreciated by WWE in the eyes of some, even though she’s a two-time World champ in the company. IYO is an example of the Money in the Bank dream, however: her first main roster singles belt came via Money in the Bank cash-in in 2023. The other three fit the mold pretty perfectly. They’re Intercontinental champions Penta and Sol Ruca, and United States champ Trick Williams. Are you going to be even disappointed or angry if Trick Willy, Sol, or Penta don’t win? Want the Genius of the Sky to be a two-time briefcase winner? Are you already overly-invested in someone else winning one or both of this year’s cases? Talk about below! * Included this for the toddlers who haven’t gotten to the Attitude Era in their pre-school wrestling studies, I guess.
