Izzi Dame outsmarts Zaria in Halloween Havoc match

"

Izzi Dame had the chance to wrestle Zaria for the women’s North American championship at tonight’s (Sat., Oct. 31, 2026) Halloween Havoc television special on The CW and turned it down in favor of wrestling her in a non-title match. How did WWE sell this to us? By calling it “another attempt to get inside the champion’s head.” This after she revealed some photos and videos of Zaria doing some singing and dancing and various theater activities as a youngster. The play was to make Zaria unhinged and therefore vulnerable. If it worked, Dame would … win a normal match but not the championship. The kind of genius none of us can understand. It continued into the match, when a photo of Zaria and Sol Ruca was shown on the big screen, and then people dressed as younger Zaria were scattered throughout the crowd. It was enough of a distraction to earn Dame a near fall. Finally, she got desperate and grabbed the title. The referee took it away but only tossed it on the mat like a foot away. Zaria then picked it up herself, yanked it out of his hands, and went to use it. Instead, Dame blasted the belt into her, and then pinned her. The referee allowed this.
