Jace Avina hits 20th home run as Yankees minor league affiliates play

Yankees minor league affiliates played a series of games across several levels on September 1. In Double-A, Jace Avina recorded his 20th home run of the year during a 7-5 win for the Somerset Patriots against the Erie SeaWolves. The Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders split a doubleheader against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, losing the first game 4-2 and winning the second 16-0. Kenedy Corona contributed two home runs and six RBIs in the second game for the RailRiders. Meanwhile, the High-A Hudson Valley Renegades lost 6-0 to the Wilmington BlueRocks in a game shortened to five innings by rain. The Low-A Tampa Tarpons had their game against the Dunedin Blue Jays postponed due to rain, with a doubleheader rescheduled for September 2.
