Jack Grace sets Louisiana high school record with nine touchdown passes

Metairie Park Country Day sophomore quarterback Jack Grace set a new Louisiana high school record by throwing nine touchdown passes in a single game on September 11, 2026. Grace led the Cajuns to a 70-35 victory over Willow in his second start of the season. He finished the contest with 542 passing yards, eclipsing the previous state record of eight touchdown passes held by Dez Duron and Peyton Houston. The sophomore connected with five different receivers during the game and recorded six of his nine scores by halftime. The performance marked a rebound for Country Day after the team opened its season with a 43-34 loss to South Terrebonne.
