Rumor of the Day: Jack Perry’s contract Jack Perry has been in AEW since its inception all the way back in 2019. His career there has seen its share of ups and downs but he’s been a staple of the promotion. Now his future is in at least some question. That’s because Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline.com has noted his current deal is “up” and he is now “currently negotiating.” Perry lost the AEW National Championship last month before also losing in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. More on Perry: According to Fightful Select, there was a plan in place at one time to have him use the Alice In Chains song “Them Bones” as his theme upon his return in 2024. They obviously went with SCAPEGOAT by Yokosuka Kitamura instead. Other rumors floating around WrestleVotes noted that “several names from WWE” reached out to the company about attending last night’s UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House, even wanting to attend in an unofficial capacity. Dave Meltzer noted in The Daily Update that the expectation, not surprisingly, WWE will heavily push Danhausen after the Knicks title win and he will likely do more media crossover stuff, especially with ESPN. He expects them to “push this as hard as they can” because it’s a WWE PR deal. Per WrestleTix, TNA is seeing some movement regarding ticket sales in Boston for Slammiversary. Get in on this, y’all.
