Jackson Kent set to make MLB debut with Nationals this week

Jackson Kent will make his Major League Baseball debut with the Washington Nationals sometime this week. The 23-year-old left-handed pitcher is being promoted to join the starting rotation after performing well in the minors. He pitched in 33 games at the University of Arizona, finishing with a 4.61 ERA, and was drafted by the Nationals in the fourth round of the 2024 draft. Kent becomes the second former UA player to debut this season, following catcher Daniel Susac with the San Francisco Giants.
