Jackson State football prepares depth for upcoming game against Tuskegee

Jackson State football utilized its off week to further develop player depth ahead of their matchup against Tuskegee on September 19. Coach T.C. Taylor emphasized rest and improvement for younger players after a convincing 66-14 victory over Edward Waters in the previous game. Backup quarterback Caron Tyler, who recorded 56 rushing yards and one interception, will face competition from freshman Darryon Jones as the team evaluates their options at the position. Taylor also highlighted the play of defensive lineman Justin Foster and wide receiver Jartavious Smart, both of whom made notable contributions in the last game.
