Jacksonville Jaguars release defensive tackle Keivie Rose before season opener

Summary

The Jacksonville Jaguars have released defensive tackle Keivie Rose as the team finalizes its roster ahead of the Week 1 opener. The decision follows a preseason injury that sidelined the former Arkansas standout, who previously joined the organization after the 2025 NFL Draft. Rose is expected to reach an injury settlement with the club following his placement on the injured reserve list earlier in the offseason. The Jaguars maintain an interior defensive line group that includes DaVon Hamilton, Albert Regis, Arik Armstead, Matt Dickerson, and Ruke Orhorhoro. The team prepares for a home game against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, September 13. This roster move allows the coaching staff to refine defensive depth ahead of the upcoming regular season competition.
