The Jacksonville Jaguars updated their practice squad roster on Sept. 1 by signing offensive lineman Eli Cox, safety Kaevon Merriweather, and tight end Hayden Rucci. The moves bring the team to its 16-player practice squad limit, excluding international player Kilian Zierer. To accommodate these additions, the team released offensive tackle Jimto Obidegwu, who had previously been cut and re-signed by the organization. Cox brings experience from Kentucky, while Merriweather joins after previous stints with Tampa Bay and Houston.
