Jacob Fatu arrived at WWE in shape in 2024 and started hot as a member of Solo Sikoa’s Bloodline. Once he got mic time, his promos were can’t-miss. At WrestleMania 41, his victory over LA Knight for the United States Championship received one of the biggest reactions of the weekend. But Fatu’s momentum slowed after his anticipated feud with Sikoa fizzled. After losing the U.S. title to Sikoa, he lost their rematch at SummerSlam — a dismal steel cage match bogged down by outside interference. Along the way, Fatu noticeably put on weight, though it didn’t hurt his ability to hit his springboard moonsault. His promos remained hot, but his over-reliance on his catchphrases felt more like a crutch than a rallying cry. He’s since lost weight, got a win back over Sikoa, and headlined consecutive premium live events, including a strong showing against Roman Reigns at Backlash. Still, he needs rebuilding. On-screen, his loss to Reigns at Clash In Italy seems like a step back as he returns to the role of Bloodline enforcer, “domesticated,” as Reigns put it.
