I have no idea if you all listen to every single song but please, for the love of everything holy, please listen to this song. This is ODB at his peak. This is how this Bloodline story is different. I’m not defending the idea of WWE going back to the well with this thing. Nor am I of the belief that The Bloodline story should run longer than the NWO did in WCW. I am, however, stating that it’s not the same thing we’re used to. The Bloodline saga was always the one that took into account continuity (for the most part) and character growth. Running it back, as it were, without acknowledging how different all of these men are in 2026 would be a colossal mistake. This week showed how they’re not making that mistake. It all starts with Jacob Fatu. For weeks, Jimmy & Jey Uso hounded their cousin for not following their lead. Jacob told them he’s not acknowledging either of them, especially Jey’s “punk ass.” But Roman Reigns? That’s a horse of a different color. That said, Roman instructed Jey to whip Jacob into shape with the same tough love Roman extended to him all those years ago. Color “the twins” surprised when Roman rewarded Jacob for moving the way he moves. A few weeks ago, Roman was all about the tough love. This week, he applauds Jacob for not being a yes man. Yeah, I get why they were miffed. And yes, I said miffed; the situation demands a word of that caliber. Jacob can do things and say things they could never because Roman acknowledges it’s better to have Jacob on his side rather than on the other side. At least that’s my read. The champ says he’s willing to do things differently this time because he’s changed and sees all the threats coming from the outside. They can’t have dissension in the family while everyone keeps throwing shots at them. That is 1000 percent true. With cats like LA Knight running their mouths about the family, it’s time to close ranks. Shoot your shots at everyone else rather than at each other. Speaking of LA, this involves him too. Jey butted in because he’s a hot head and wants someone to acknowledge him since he clearly has no power over Jacob. But hot heads lead to cold steel, which is why Jacob did it his way. And Roman was completely on board. Just like he was down with Jacob destroying Eric Andre when the show began, he approved of Jacob demolishing LA his way rather than “the twins” going through their usual motions. Roman is either playing Jacob like a guitar or he truly believes this is the best way forward. Regardless, by trying to squash dissent he’s creating more of it because the Usos aren’t feeling any of this right now. Jacob undermines them while Roman cheers him on from the sidelines. There’s one more play Roman whispered into Jacob’s ear. My guess is that involves making sure Jey gets to the King of the Ring finals. After Jey puffed his chest this week about winning his last King of the Ring match without anyone’s help, I can’t imagine he’ll love his cousin lending him a hand. How long before the Right Hand Man slides to the left for a predecessor? And what will he do about it? B-Sides A mini running story throughout the night revolved around softening up a few King of the Ring competitors. Charlotte Flair and Je’Von Evans both thought it prudent to battle mere days before they fought for their respective crowns. And both paid the price, which sets up an easy out for them on SmackDown. Charlotte battled Roxanne Perez, who wanted to ingratiate herself with Liv Morgan. Charlotte won but at what cost? I ask that because the Queen injured her hand while going for a chop. She went for it, Roxy ducked, and Charlotte banged it on the ring post. She wasn’t the same after that, and was actually one-handed during the match’s latter half. As for Je’Von? Well, he came to the ring with words for Jey, only for Logan Paul & Austin Theory to get in his business. Yup, Logan is back. I’m sure there’s some part of the audience rejoicing over this development, even if he is rocking a cast. Unfortunately, his mouth still works, so we heard plenty of words from The Vision’s loudmouth. The big thing is he demanded Je’Von join The Vision. Nah, seriously, they told him to join The Vision. While I found it funny how quickly Je’Von said no, I wish we got some build up to this. Obviously, The Vision is a bit blurry at the moment. Bronson Reed is still recovering, Logan is in a cast, and Paul E. is taking some time off. Maybe it was just a nice way to segue into Austin vs. Je’Von, which bled into Bron Breakker spearing Je’Von in mid-air and getting the match thrown out. Like I said, Je’Von is in bad shape going into his big match with Jey. The beauty of the setup is the territory’s laid the groundwork for a few interesting outcomes regardless of who wins that tournament match. The other big story from that match? The Street Profits are whole! I’m sure there’s a money joke in there somewhere but I just can’t find it at the moment. Angelo Dawkins returned to Montez Ford’s side, and the two put what’s left of The Vision on notice. That set up a tag match for next week in London. I liked IYO SKY vs. Raquel Rodriguez but I disagree on the winner. Not just because I predicted Raquel moving forward and I like to be right, but because they teased Raquel vs. Liv only for that to go up in smoke. Seriously, is the Judgment Day breaking up or are we just teasing it every few weeks? It was important for Chad Gable to struggle in his first match as “Chad Gable” in a year. The match, much like his emotional journey, couldn’t be easy. Rusev is that guy physically but he doesn’t have much juice behind him for the emotional investment. He’s imposing as the day is long but he’s also 0 for the century in matches that matter during his second stint in WWE. I suppose Ethan Page’s presence adds more to it, as it was basically two vs. one, but then again, that seemed like the point: How much could he endure on his way to the win? Rusev might not be the dominant guy he was his first time around, nor is he the dopeness that was The Redeemer, but he still punishes people badly. Chad got the win but, more importantly, Rey Mysterio & Dragon Lee came to his aide when Ethan and Rusev showed their poor sportsmanship post match. Seriously, these guys can’t take an L. Grow up! As Sean said in our offices, I’m not quite sure what they’re doing with Chad longterm, but they’re doing something now and it’s working. Chad noted after he finished with Rusev, he has more on his apology list. He bumped into one of them, Maxxine Dupri, on his way to the ring. They exchanged no words since she’s still doing whatever the heck this is with Austin Theory, but it foreshadowed an eventual come to Jesus moment with Alpha Academy. Will they hear him out? That needs to be tougher than 10 fights with Rusev; make him truly earn their forgiveness. Oba Femi is great and Dirty Dom is great at making people look great. That is all. Oba is in the King of the Ring finals, where he’ll face either Jey or Je’Von. This Raw didn’t grab me like last week’s edition. That could be because nothing compares to the European crowd though. But The Bloodline stuff, which dominated the show, held my attention. What say you, Cagesiders?

This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw opened with Roman Reigns, Jey Uso, and Jimmy Uso confronting Jacob Fatu about his insubordination. The Usos, in particular, aren’t happy about the fact that he won’t get in line appropriately. In something of a surprise, Reigns went against that. “We don’t need yes men.” Then he put an Ula Fala on Fatu, officially welcoming him to the family, making him a member of The Bloodline proper. The idea, it seems, is that he doesn’t want Fatu to lose any of the edge he’s had. He needs to be insubordinate, because that’s what makes him so dangerous. And he needs to continue to be just that — just on the side of The Bloodline. Eric Andre, an actor there to promote his upcoming show with John Cena, was in the crowd, talking up the group as they left. When Fatu was walking by, Andre put his hands on the Ula Fala Reigns just gifted him. Fatu responded to this by grabbing him up, throwing him in the ring, and putting the boots to him. Reigns’ response? To order him to go up top and Splash the actor, and then ordering him to do it a second time. The Bloodline is well and truly back, with an attack dog like no other. Thoughts?
