Jacob Saylors injured during Lions preseason game against Bengals

Detroit Lions running back Jacob Saylors sustained an apparent injury in the second quarter of their preseason game against the Cincinnati Bengals at Paycor Stadium. Saylors limped off the field following a 27-yard run after being tackled by Ceyair Wright. He appeared to have a lower leg injury, as noted by the broadcast commentary. Earlier, Lions defensive back Ennis Rakestraw Jr. also left the game with an arm injury. Lions head coach Dan Campbell had previously announced that center Cade Mays would miss significant time due to a wrist injury, while backup running back Isiah Pacheco is expected back for Week 1 following an MCL sprain. Safety Kerby Joseph and cornerback Brian Branch are on the physically unable to perform list but are anticipated to return in time for the regular season start.
