Jade Jones faces Sheena Bathory for Misfits super middleweight title

Double Olympic taekwondo champion Jade Jones continues her boxing career on 12 September at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle. The 33-year-old athlete challenges Hungarian MMA fighter Sheena Bathory for the Misfits super middleweight title. Jones enters the contest with a 2-0 professional record, following second-round knockouts against Egypt Criss and FederiKita earlier this year. Transitioning from taekwondo, where she claimed gold medals at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, Jones began boxing at 31. Her opponent, Bathory, brings experience from the Power Slap competition and holds a first-round knockout victory on her own boxing debut.
