Jager Burton earns attention for Packers starting left guard role

Green Bay Packers rookie Jager Burton is gaining traction for the starting left guard position as the team prepares for the upcoming season. Coach Matt LaFleur indicated that Burton may start due to veteran Aaron Banks' ongoing knee problems, which have limited Banks' participation in training camp. Despite an initial hamstring injury this summer, Burton has returned to practice and played 36 snaps in a recent preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. If the season began today, Burton would be alongside a revamped offensive line, which includes Jordan Morgan at left tackle and Sean Rhyan at center.
