Jaguars honor emergency responders and veterans at 2026 home opener

The Jacksonville Jaguars kick off their 2026 season Sunday against the Cleveland Browns at EverBank Stadium. The team plans to mark the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks with a series of pregame and in-game tributes. Former cornerback Rashean Mathis will serve as the Legend of the Game, while Sgt. 1st Class Trevaris Ross and retired Navy submariner Trent Parrish are set to participate in ceremonies honoring military service. During halftime, 100 new citizens will be sworn in during a naturalization ceremony administered by Judge Marcia Morales Howard. In the third quarter, the organization will recognize JFRD Lieutenant Pamela Ramsdell as the Community Champion. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will be broadcast on CBS47.
