Jaguars place Patrick Mekari and Zach Durfee on injured reserve

The Jacksonville Jaguars designated offensive lineman Patrick Mekari and defensive end Zach Durfee for injured reserve during the final roster cutdowns on August 31, 2026. This designation allows both players to return to the active roster during the current season after missing a minimum of four games. Mekari is recovering from back surgery reported in mid-August, while Durfee is sidelined with an upper-body injury. Durfee, a seventh-round draft pick, did not participate in the team's preseason finale against Tampa Bay.
