Jaguars plan to expand role of Brian Thomas Jr. in 2026

Summary

The Jacksonville Jaguars are set to enhance Brian Thomas Jr.'s role in their offense for the 2026 season. NFL insider Cameron Wolfe detailed that the Jaguars aim to utilize Thomas primarily on deep vertical routes, focusing on unlocking his potential as a downfield threat. Thomas, who recorded 48 catches for 707 yards and two touchdowns last season, is expected to have a larger role due to improved chemistry with quarterback Trevor Lawrence and a more strategic approach from head coach Liam Coen. This season will be critical for Thomas to regain his previous form after an injury-ridden sophomore year.
