Jaguars rise to fifth in ESPN’s Week 5 NFL power rankings

The Jacksonville Jaguars have moved up to fifth in ESPN's Week 5 NFL power rankings following a 22-17 road win against the Cincinnati Bengals. This victory improved the Jaguars' record to 3-1, reaffirming their status as one of the league's top teams. Despite a strong 2025 season, skepticism surrounded the Jaguars at the start of the current season, with ESPN previously ranking them 17th and including them among teams likely to decline. However, after notable wins, including a 35-6 rout of the Patriots, the Jaguars' defense, currently ranked among the best in the league, is garnering significant recognition. Defensive coordinator Anthony Campanile's efforts have played a crucial role in their success, leading to speculation about head-coaching opportunities for him and offensive coordinator Grant Udinski.
