Jahmyr Gibbs enters week 2 of hold-in with Lions ahead of training

Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs is now in the second week of his hold-in for a new contract as the team continues training camp. Coach Dan Campbell and general manager Brad Holmes have expressed a desire to finalize a deal, although there have been few updates on negotiations. While Campbell previously stated he was not worried about the situation, he acknowledged surprise that a contract was not yet completed. Holmes indicated that discussions are ongoing, but he did not convey strong optimism regarding a resolution. As training camp progresses, concerns about Gibbs' absence may rise, particularly as the preseason advances.
