Jakob Ingebrigtsen, Josh Kerr to compete in Ultimate Championship 1500m

Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Josh Kerr will make their first appearance together on Sept. 13 at the World Athletics Ultimate Championship in Budapest. Both athletes have been added to the men's 1500m field following a decision by the steering board of the event. Ingebrigtsen, a 5000m gold medalist, is returning after an Achilles injury, while Kerr broke the mile world record on July 18. The 1500m event is expected to also feature Cole Hocker and Yared Nuguse, who medaled at the Paris Olympics.
