Jakob Ingebrigtsen returns to Diamond League for 1500m race in Silesia

Jakob Ingebrigtsen will make his return to the Diamond League on August 23 in Silesia, racing in the 1500m against 2024 Olympic Champion Cole Hocker. Ingebrigtsen recently won gold in the 5,000m at the European Athletic Championships, marking his first race since an Achilles injury and subsequent surgery earlier this year. He aims for his 22nd victory on the Diamond League circuit after a challenging season in 2025, where he failed to advance past the preliminary heats at the World Outdoor Championships. Cole Hocker, the reigning Olympic and World 5K Champion, has been training for upcoming races, including the World Ultimate Championships in September.
