Jalen Brunson comments on Mitchell Robinson joining the Boston Celtics

Jalen Brunson recently addressed the departure of former teammate Mitchell Robinson, who signed a three-year, $47.4 million contract with the Boston Celtics. Despite the rivalry between the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics, Brunson stated that he holds no animosity toward his former teammate of four seasons. The pair helped lead New York to an NBA championship in 2026. Robinson suggested on social media that he did not intend to leave the franchise, noting that he hopes further details regarding his exit emerge eventually. The two teams are scheduled to meet for the first time during the 2026-27 season on October 23 at TD Garden. Robinson is set to make his return to Madison Square Garden on March 14.
